Woodstock Folk Art Show Results

Update March 23

WOODSTOCK FINE ART GALLERY
We had a lovely reception and a very whimsical show. Nancy Dean came with the brownie doll that is in her painting, peeking out of her bag. The gallery handed out sheets to their patrons with a photo of each painting on it, and they are also all online:

This show ends March 31.

WOODSTOCK GALERY PICK-UP TIMES:

All works must be picked up by Sunday, April 2. For those of you going to the Spring Meeting , Sunday might work out well. If someone is going through Woodstock and wants to offer to pick up paintings for others at the meeting, that could work also.

Friday, March 31 10-5
Saturday, April 1 10-5
Sunday, April 2 10-5

Woodstock Folk Art Show Results

Congratulations to the following artists whose works will be in the "Whimsy" Show at the Woodstock Folk Art Gallery. If your name is not on this list or one of your paintings did not get in, the gallery has very kindly offered to store your work upstairs until you can pick it up. This could be at the opening,( which I hope will be well attended by everyone, even if you are not in the show).... Or,.... you can get your work at a later date if necessary. So you do not have to pick-up tomorrow or Saturday unless it is convenient.

This is a special favor from the gallery, and an unusual one. A little reminder here- gracious thanks to the gallery would be much appreciated from ALL entrants.

The gallery owners would like a little bio from everyone whose work is in the show- just a paragraph or two about who you are, where you live, what your experience might be, and thoughts about your work such as how you like to paint, favorite subjects, etc. You can just send it to them as an email or print it out if you like. I think email would be preferred.

This Gallery goes all out with publicity- there will be sheets passed out with images of our work on them and the images will also be on their web site. They made an excellent suggestion about labeling your paintings- a bio attached to the back would be well received by both galleries and buyers. Let's try to do this in the future.

There were 72 paintings entered by 40 artists. 38 paintings were accepted for the show. One person entered 3 paintings instead of 2. Please read the directions folks!
